Quin Finder, healer, student, teacher, lover, pirate - BlackWing.
"My life in Gungl began a moon-turn later, when I was finally able to pull myself out of bed without crushing grief slamming into me and causing me to collapse. The following day, my plan for revenge against Vardil Cayetes, the man responsible for Siriaa's destruction, began."
Siriaa has been destroyed at the command of an enraged criminal. The poison infecting that planet has been flung into the universe, landing upon hapless worlds in its path. The Orb has dropped Quin onto another world five years in the future, where she is compelled to seek revenge against Vardil Cayetes, the one responsible for Siriaa's destruction.
From a crumbling, lawless world to one held in the tight fists of a criminal alliance, a disguised Quin searches for her enemy, whose only concern is keeping his life, no matter the cost to others. Quin and another innocent become targets when the enemy learns of the danger they represent.
Will Cayetes succeed in his assassination attempts?
Not even the gods can predict the outcome.

I had great hopes for this series when I bought it. All 4 books were on sale for 1.99, so I did something I rarely do and bought the whole set. I liked the first book's characters, but the point of view jumping was a bit much. Still I liked the characters, so I decided to see if the writing improved in book 2. It got worse-lots more characters, hard to follow plot jumps, and so many points of view that this author probably out does Martin in that regard. I chose to read book 3 because at the end of book 2, Quin is thrown through the gate, alone. I hoped that she would re-assert herself as a strong character without all of her admirers flocking around her and doting on her. She had really become a weakling in the second book. Book three started out with her learning to fight from an experienced fighter and wanting to seek revenge on Cayetes for destroying her home world. This could be good. But NO!
Suttle doesn't allow Quin to learn in an environment that will let her grow. She lets everyone who loves her find her and ADDS more admirers to the list. I anticipated an orgy of some sort and wasn't happy about the idea, but then IT happened. I quit reading when Daragar arranged a gang rape. Now, be aware, it's not presented as a gang rape, but Quin is not consulted, and Daragar takes control of her mind and body and invites all of the men in love with her to join in this rape. As it starts, she admits not having control and feeling her clothes being removed and her body touched in very intimate ways. In the book it's called energy sex, but it still is rape to me. She wasn't asked, and EVERY single male in the building was invited to participate in it with her. If that's not gang rape, I don't know what is. I quit reading and am deleting all 4 books from my Kindle.
I would give this 0 starts if possible.

BlackWing First Ordinance Book 3 (Audible Audio Edition) Connie Suttle Shiromi Arserio SubtleDemon Publishing LLC Books Reviews
Connie Suttle is writer that I have been following for years. She always comes up with a brand new story.
I'm not exactly sure how her tricky brain works, but I'm so glad that it does.
On to the story We find out exactly who rescued Quin right away. I know, it was a crazy cliffhanger from the last book. We were left wondering whose hands she had fallen into. The Orb seems to like to send her into the path of danger. She has a knack of falling to the feet of whom ever she needs to help. There are so many twists and turns that i could not and would not describe them (no spoilers!) What I do have to say is that there is action from the begining all the way until the end.
Just speculation on my part, but some parts in the book seem to draw attention to her RD series.
To get the most out of your reading experience please read her other series first

I don't know how I managed to read three books in this series. If I never see another hyphen again after reading this it will be too soon. How the author thinks that using a hyphen instead of a comma or a full stop is appropriate I don't know.
Underlying this series is a really great story and some wonderful world building and they are stuffed with wonderful characters and loads of action. However, you have to suspend belief in the English language to read these books as the sentences are so badly constructed and the constant use of hyphens mid sentence, mid word, etc is just so off-putting. It is almost as if the books were written in another language and translated into English.
The other thing that makes these books really hard to read is that there are like a zillion characters and the story constantly switches from character to character telling a it bit by bit from their own POV. There are so many characters it almost needs a guide book to keep track of them all.
I was forced to read Shakespere at school and hated it because the old style writing and word use caused me so much confusion that I could not enjoy the underlying story. In some ways, these books are like this. They would be so much better with a really good editor. However the underlying story and the wonderful characters still had me rating this as four stars. If you are prepared for a lot of confusion and you don't have any Grammar Nazi in you, then by all means grab this series and go for it.
In the beginning this series had potential and I really liked it until about two thirds into book one .
"Finder" had a great developing story and a handful of nicely crafted supporting characters but then the author tossed it all away by adding unnecessary profanity. By the end of book two and three the series spiraled out of control with an increased onslaught of "F" bombs and verbal porn - The main character went from a endearing "Joan of Arc" in book one to a slutty crybaby with every male supporting character panting after her by the end of book three.
As far as the plot goes by the end of book three I felt like I was watching a story on TV with someone changing the channels every moment. This series is in essence complete adolescent predictability intended for those that have the moral compass of a twister spinner. Lastly as I've indicated in other reviews of books of this nature... I really wish Authors would list if they were going to use large scale profanity and written pornography - let me know its equal to a rated "R" or "X" film - those that like that drivel will still buy it and I will know not to.. Frankly I've returned the books so the author didn't waste my money... but the author DID waste my time.
Since I cant give it zero stars I give it a generous one star.
